Co-exhibitor of Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico
The origins of La Croce estate date back to the 1960s, when brothers Dario and Mario Zari, descendants of a family of generations of farmers, bought a 16-hectare farm in the heart of Chianti Classico.
They passed on their passion for cultivating the land and making wine and oil, which stood out for their excellent quality right from the start, to their four sons who followed in their footsteps and expanded the property. Over the years, the small farm grew into a structured business, without, however, losing the family spirit that has characterised it since its origins.
The tradition continues today with the third generation who has linked historical working practices with innovation. Technology, research and experimentation make it possible to maintain high quality levels in all winemaking and ageing operations and to expand the range of products presented to the market every year.
We are located in Castellina in Chianti (Siena - Italy). The estate currently extends over about 110 hectares, 65 of which are vineyards, and 15 are dedicated to the cultivation of about 3500 olive trees.
Our range of excellence includes Chianti Classico DOCG (Vintange, Riserva and Gran Selezione), Chianti DOCG Governo all'Uso Toscano, Red Wine Toscana IGT Merlot, White Wine Toscana IGT Vermentino, Sparkling Rosè Brut (100% Sangiovese), Vinsanto del Chianti DOC, as well as Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Chianti Classico DOP Olive Oil.
