Co-exhibitor of Napa Valley
Situated on 800 hectares in the southerly and cool Napa Valley Carneros District, Hudson Napa Valley has spent the past 40 years growing Chardonnay for many of the best-reviewed and most collected brands in California, where the “Hudson Vineyards” designation has adorned their labels for several decades. In addition to growing grapes for these great winemakers, Hudson also farms several of our best blocks of “Old Wente” heritage Chardonnay to make our own Hudson Wines, crafting them in a style set by founding winemaker John Kongsgaard. Right-bank Bordeaux varieties like Cabernet Franc and Merot also thrive in our cooler Napa terroir, yielding wines of finesse and distinction.
Hudson is one of the last remaining polyculture ranches in Napa, farming by hand with our own employees using ethical, responsible practices. We insist on farming holistically, focusing our efforts on the ecology of the complete farm, and believe doing so is the only way to make fine wines.
