The history of Garofoli is the story of a family who devoted herself to wine production since five generations. The philosophy behind the winemaking process has always been the same: constant update of production techniques respecting traditional and historical winemaking systems. Together with an intense attention to the market changes and its ever changing requirements, while sticking to the specificity and traditions of our region.
Tradition and discipline. Lightness and passion. Care for the landscape, art and community. Sustainability and experimentation. With a pop art stroke and a carefree touch. Since 1956, Michele Chiarlo has been vinifying the essence of Piedmont, loving and developing the most incredible wine region in the world. We grow 150 hectares of vineyards between Langhe, Monferrato and Gavi, the finest crus while fully respecting the ecological criteria, the terroir and their expression. The style of Michele Chiarlo wines is expressed through the quest for balance, elegance, taste and complexity. Long-lived and well structured wines which maintain the memory of the terroirs from which they are born and continue to communicate over time.
The wine: the passion we are passing on from three generations The history of our family has always been involved in the art of viticulture. We live in San Pietro in Cariano, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica Area, and since 1951 we have been producing world-class wines and incorporating our own personal goals with the history and uniqueness of the Valpolicella area.
