Gota wines are quite different to others in Portugal as we put great emphasis on balanced wines. And the most important factor for her wines is high rate on the drinkability when all the structural components of a wine, such as its acid, tannin, alcohol, sweetness are singing in harmony with the wine’s fruit and flavour, its texture and freshness.

Gota in Portuguese means Drop. 

Within each drop of their wines Gota tries to bind authentic Portuguese grapes, flavours, tradition, locality, pleasure and fun. First vintage was 2008. The goal was to create and promote wines from the top winemaking regions in Portugal and make them available across the globe.  We collaborate with some of the country’s best vintners to bottle lovely expressions from wineries in each region, using only local varieties. We leverage long standing relationships and vineyard knowledge in each region where we orchestrate the entire production in conjunction with a “winemaker on the ground”. Each local expert friend helps to source the best grapes from the best soils for each native grape variety within each region. These wines are very unique and true to place.
