González Byass is a family-owned winery founded in Jerez in 1835 that specialises in producing wines and spirits. Fino Tío Pepe, jewels
of the wine world such as Noé and Apóstoles together with Brandy Solera Gran Reserva Lepanto, have established the company as
one of the world’s leading wineries. Tradition, research, sustainability, the pursuit of optimum quality and wine tourism have been
pivotal to González Byass in the work it has carried out for almost two centuries now.
Over the last few decades, González Byass has gone from being a Family of Wines, bringing on board wineries in emblematic
production regions that are a faithful representation of the diversity of Spain’s wines. These include Bodegas Beronia (D.O.Ca. Rioja
and D.O. Rueda), Viñas del Vero (D.O. Somontano), Blecua (D.O. Somontano), Cavas Vilarnau (D.O. Cava), Finca Constancia (V.T. Castilla),
Finca Moncloa (V.T. Cádiz), Pazos de Lusco (D.O. Rías Baixas) and Dominio Fournier (D.O. Ribera del Duero). In 2016, the company made
the leap into the New World by acquiring Chilean family winery Viñedos Veramonte then, in 2017, it completed the acquisition of Casa
Pedro Domecq (brandies and wines) whose main activity is based in Mexico.
González Byass has rounded out its product portfolio by adding Vermouth La Copa, Chinchón de la Alcoholera anisette and a range
of high-end distillates that includes Nomad Outland Whisky and The London Nº1 and Mom gins.
This family company is firmly committed to development based on the right balance between environmental, social and economic
factors. This thinking has been brought to life in the “5+5 Looking after the Planet” scheme, González Byass’ sustainable reality project,
and restated in its signing up to the United Nations Global Compact, through which the company has committed, as a first move, to
prioritize the following Sustainable Development Objectives (SDOs): Quality Education, Work and Economic Growth, Climate Action
and Life on Land.
