The Famille Bourgeois is established in Chavignol-Sancerre since 1935, and has been working with passion on Sauvignon blanc and Pinot noir to produce internationally acclaimed terroir wines, thanks to its precious know-how gained from 10 generations of winemakers. It was Henri Bourgeois who, as early as the 1950s, outlined the philosophy of the Domaine, later reinforced by his sons Jean-Marie and Rémi Bourgeois until the 1990s, and enriched today by his grandsons Arnaud, Lionel and Jean-Christophe Bourgeois. Today, the Famille Bourgeois cultivates 72 hectares, judiciously located in the best slopes of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé. Its terroir wines, recognized for their aromatic expression and their precision of execution, are tasted all over the world. It is with respect and commitment that the Famille Bourgeois works on the expression of the terroirs it has inherited, in the cultivation, vinification, and maturation of its wines. The plot-base vinification, the use of gravity at each stage of the winemaking process, and the constant care taken from the maturation of the wines on lees to the bottling are the demonstration of the permanent concern for perfection that characterizes the "Bourgeois quality".
