Co-exhibitor of Vitivalor Wines
The Domaine LaBoutinère is a family operation dating back from 1920, respecting tradition for 4 generations.
The farm consists of 17 hectares of vines including 11 ha of AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 4 of Côtes-du-Rhône and 2 of Vin de France, splited in 13 parcels between 10-120 years old.
Theten grape varieties significantly cultivated are :
For reds : Grenache noir, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault, Counoise and Vaccarèse ;
For whites : Grenache blanc, Clairette, Roussanne.
The property is working in sustainable viticulture what means that a great care is taken in the viticultural methods to respect and adapt them the best as possible to the vines and to the land.
The property is located in the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, to the East of the village, slightly in altitude on the road of Bédarrides with a very beautiful view of the village.
The vines are located on the Lieu-dits of La Crau, Le Boucoup, Les Marines, Le Bois de la Ville, Valori, Coste-Froide, les Plagnes and recently on Le Grand Pierre by the acquisition a new parcel of land of Roussanne.
That enabled us to move towards HVE 3 (High Environmental Value) certification in 2020, we are in the process of converting to organic farming, finalised for the 2024 harvest.
In addition to the know-how transmitted by previous generations, modernization was added : our vinification cellar, comprising concrete vats, stainless steel and French oak truncated cone vats, has been extended to include 3 concrete tulip vats to improve the parcel-by-parcel selection of Grenache grapes and two concrete eggs to refine the vinification of white wines.
Long fermentations (18 to 31 days), a permanent control of the vinification temperatures, allow us to extract the good tannins in suppleness, to obtain deep colors and exacerbate the fundamental qualities of the terroir and the different grape varieties.
Bottling is done at the property.
