The MAYARD family, native of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, has been exploiting a property since Napoleon III. Since 2013, Blandine MAYARD, 6th generation, has been at the head of the estate, always accompanied by her father Jean-Luc MAYARD. The Domaine du Galet des Papes extends over 13 hectares of vines on different terroirs of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation (rolled pebbles, clay-limestone, sandy). Rolled pebbles are the origin of the domain name. In fact, in 1990 "Le Domaine Roger MAYARD et Fils" became "Le Domaine du Galet des Papes". In total, 24 distinct plots where a wide variety of grape varieties intersect. From this diversity will be born two red Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Cuvées "Tradition" & "Vieilles Vignes") powerful, colorful, gourmet and shimmering as well as a Châteauneuf- du-Pape blanc (Cuvée Blanc de Blancs "AUJUBLAN"), with a floral bouquet and unparalleled freshness! Also, on our sandy soil, we harvest our red Côtes du Rhône, both fine and powerful, called "Le Petit Galet". It is at the estate located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape that our production site is located, from the reception of the harvest to the bottling in our winemaking and aging cellar. It is also a welcoming place for visitors and customers. Our second point of sale "Le Cellier du Galet des Papes" in the heart of the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, offers all our vintages for tasting and sale, from April to November.
