We are more than just winemakers, we are storytellers. Our story, one of courage, curiosity and love, began 200 years ago in the vineyards of our estate, perched on the heights of the village of Cadillac. The art of winemaking has been passed down from father to son for generations. But in 2001, unexpected events prevented us from continuing to maintain the most precious part of the vineyard. As in the story of Sleeping Beauty, for nearly 20 years, the land lay dormant, waiting for the right moment to be reborn.

That day came in 2019 when Carine, Michel Darriet's daughter, took over from her father, becoming the eighth generation at the helm of the estate. Under her leadership, it has risen like a phoenix, following a new approach: returning to its roots while daring to go beyond established practices. Under the banner of the new name Domaine des Perchés, Carine, eager to pass on her vision to future generations, has put her heart and soul into creating her ideal vineyard: she has set out to create a vineyard where tradition and experimentation coexist, where grape varieties are chosen for their character rather than by convention, and where nature and humanity, art and wine blend harmoniously.
