Co-exhibitor of RHONE VALLEY VINEYARDS
Domaine des Bernardins is a familial and historic estate located in Beaumes-de-Venise, small town near to Avignon in the south Rhône Valley. We started making wine at the beginning of the 19th century. The property was previously owned by Bernardin monks before being transformed into a wine estate. Currently, it's the sixth generation. The 60 acres (25Ha) spread near to the village, in the south side of a little mountain massif called "Dentelles de Montmirail". 17 Acres (7Ha) are in red and 44acres (18Ha) in white. This represents nine grape varieties, but we produce essentially our historic and emblematic grape : Muscat petits grain who serve to make our sweet natural wine : AOC Muscat Beaumes-de-Venise. The vineyards and their terroir, the work of men in the vines and during the vinification are the esence of our wines. We are convinced that you can't make great wines whithour great grapes.
