Co-exhibitor of DOMAINE DE LA HAILLE
In the heart of south-western France, between Bordeaux and Toulouse, Domaine Christophe Avi has its roots in Laplume, a small village just outside Agen. It was here, in this land bathed in sunshine and tradition, that the family story began in 1926, at a time when people lived by the land, raising livestock and producing wine locally. But it was in 1993, under the impetus of Christophe Avi, that the estate entered a new era. After a career in rugby, he became a winemaker, a passion passed on by his father. Driven by a deep attachment to the values of sharing and conviviality, he aims to bring them to life through his wines. Each cuvée is conceived as a moment of encounter, exchange and simplicity. Today, the estate covers 24 hectares and has the distinction of bearing two protected designations of origin: Buzet and Brulhois. The Buzet appellation reveals supple, generous wines made from emblematic South-West grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, for round, fruity, well-balanced profiles. The Brulhois appellation produces more powerful, deep wines with assertive tannins. Tannat is the emblematic grape of Gascony, with its intense color and nickname “the red blood of the Garonne”. Alongside these two appellations, we also produce IGP Agenais red and rosé wines, offering great freedom of expression and an accessible style, always true to our philosophy of making wine a simple, sincere pleasure. Committed to an environmentally respectful approach, we cultivate all our vineyards using organic farming. All our wines, red, rosé, and white, are therefore certified organic, reflecting our strong commitment to sustainable and responsible viticulture. At Christophe Avi, wine is more than a product: it's a transmission, an emotion, an invitation to the table. Each bottle carries with it a fragment of history, a South-West accent and a sincerity that we love to share
