Instituted in 2011 from the union between the Consorzio di Tutela DOC Lison Pramaggiore and Vini del Piave DOC, the Consorzio Vini Venezia has the objective of promoting and protecting the wines which grow in a unique territory, suited to viticulture for centuries, which embraces also the city of Venice. The area protected by the Consorzio Vini Venezia includes the provinces of Venice, Treviso and Pordenone and the appellations Lison DOCG and Malanotte del Piave DOCG, the DOC Venezia and the two historical DOCs Lison-Pramaggiore and Piave.
