France
Château Montus and Château Bouscassé are constantly evolving, from the vine to the cellar.
Throughout the year, our teams give meaning to the autochthonous grape varieties Tannat, Petit Courbu and Petit Manseng, to the mosaic of terroirs that characterize our different cuvées, and to the pre-Pyrenean climate that shapes the balance of our wines.
In the heart of south-western France, Alain Brumont has established much more than a brand, he has established a concept. He created the emblematic taste of Tannat, an indigenous grape variety. Alain Brumont, visionary and perfectionist, through research and innovation, creates wines of the highest quality. Each vintage benefits from a tailor-made approach, adapting the best growing practices to our biotope, our landscapes, respecting biodiversity, and an ever-increasing level of precision in the vinification and ageing of our wines.
Since 2018, a period of handover has been gradually taking place between Alain Brumont, creative winemaker and founder of Châteaux Montus and Bouscassé, and his son-in-law Antoine Veiry. The aim is to perpetuate Alain Brumont's 40 years of experimentation with the Tannat grape variety, his knowledge of terroirs and the impact of long ageing on wine style.
