A family business for 4 generations, Château de Montmirail was developed by Maurice Archimbaud in the 60s by bringing together two properties : a 20-hectares farm located in Vacqueyras and inherited from his father Gabriel, and the other of 27-hectares in Gigondas that he created entirely on the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail. It is now managed by two of his grandchildren, Philippe and Sylvie.

The winery is located in the commune of Gigondas, near the old thermal baths of the waters of Montmirail. A complete renovation of the winery was carried out in 2000, in order to improve the winemaking and meet current standards.

We make red, white and rosé wines, combining respect for family tradition and the exploration of new winemaking.

Low yields on clay-limestone soils give our cuvées finesse and balance.

Careful work on the restructuring of the estate allows us to keep a balance between the richness brought by our oldest vines (some 80 years old) and the freshness of our planters.

In July 2020, we obtained the High Environmental Value certification for the management of our estate. This certification rewards the work and commitment of our teams: that of responsible and reasoned management of all our environmental heritage.
