Located on one of the higher sectors of the Graves appellation, Château Caillivet covers 10 hectares of vineyards within a 40-hectare estate, on the edge of the Landes forest. The vines are planted on clay-based gravel soils with limestone outcrops, at around 110 metres above sea level, in a naturally preserved environment that shapes the balance and structure of the wines.
Taken over in 2020 by Guilain Latournerie, the estate is the result of a revival project guided by experience and a deep sense of place. Shaped by formative work in leading Bordeaux estates (Château Latour and Château d’Yquem), and further enriched by academic training in Chile and hands-on experience in Australia, the approach at Caillivet combines the rigour of great Bordeaux terroirs with a contemporary, open-minded vision of winemaking.
Certified organic since 2023, the estate follows a holistic agroecological approach, integrating winter sheep grazing and the management of 30 hectares of contiguous woodland and meadows, acting as ecological corridors and supporting a living biodiversity.
The range reflects this philosophy: modern, approachable single-varietal wines(Les Chênes), Château wines recognised for their consistency (91/100 James Suckling, 90/100 Wine Enthusiast, Graves Ambassador 2024), and more experimental cuvées such as Le Blanc qui Tâche, expressing the energy of a new generation.
As part of its extended family history, Château Caillivet maintains a close relationship with Domaine de Grand Maison, an independent family-run estate, with which it shares common values, ongoing mutual support and the same commitment to quality.

Located at 11km south of Bordeaux, at the entrance of Léognan, the Domaine de Grandmaison is a family property whose vineyard of 19 hectares in the Pessac-Léognan appellation surrounds an imposing house. The main soils are clay-limestone with also the white gravelly-sandy and red deep gravel. Around the vineyard, 3 hectares of oak forest with more than hundred years old, and meadows along the stream “Eau Blanche” represent a rich and diverse environment.
Purchased in 1939, the estate’s vineyard was gradually rebuilt in the 70s by Jean and Françoise Bouquier to be managed today by their son François. His wife Mayi, their nephew Rémi as well as their son Vincent work hand to hand in this family winery.
The Domaine de Grandmaison is committed to a sustainable environmental approach by practicing sustainable viticulture, regenerative soil cultivation and has HVE 4 certificate.
Today in line with the requirements of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the Domaine produces blended wines that perfectly express the place where they are found. These are terroir wines regularly rewarded by recognized magazines such as the Guide Hachette in France or James Suckling internationally.
