Champagne Minard & Filles: A Family and Passion Story
The Heritage of a Terroir
The history of Champagne Minard & Filles takes root in Courmas in 1922. Four generations of men (Lucien, René, Patrick) succeeded each other before Audrey Minard took over the reins and created the brand «Minard & Filles» with her husband Richard. This name is a tribute to the new generation: their two daughters, Léanne and Abigaël, as well as their nieces, Ondine and Eléonore.
The vineyard is located in the heart of the Petite Montagne de Reims and extends over 4.13 hectares through three communes: Courmas, Coulommes-la-Montagne and Tramery. It is here, in these hilly lands where Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay flourish, that the Minard family has chosen to link its destiny to that of the vine. For more than a century, she has cultivated her land with a deep respect for the Champagne terroir, passing on from generation to generation the precise gestures that make the quality of great wines.
The Transmission to Women
What makes the strength and uniqueness of the house is its signature: Minard & Filles. This name affirms a desire to perpetuate family know-how while instilling a new sensitivity. By placing the "girls" at the heart of the operation, the house emphasizes that champagne is above all a matter of heart and transmission. This handover allows to marry the experience of the elders with today’s sustainable practices.
The Spirit of the House
Today, Champagne Minard & Filles does not content itself with producing bubbles; it cultivates a way of life. Each bottle is the result of rigorous craftsmanship:
• The Culture: A daily and meticulous care brought to the vineyard.
• Vinification: A precise blend to achieve the perfect balance.
• Sharing: A welcoming house, faithful to the spirit of authentic winemaker.
"Choosing a Minard & Filles cuvée is entering into our history and sharing a bit of the soul of our family."
