The BEAUFORT family has been cultivating vines in Champagne since the 16th century.
In 1929, Marcellin and his son Herbert began producing Bouzy champagnes under the family motto: “From the Vine to the Gourmet”. Today, his son Henri and grandsons Hugues and Ludovic offer a range of champagnes made from the noble Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes.
They also vinify, in French oak barrels, the emblematic and highly coveted Bouzy Rouge and a rare Bouzy Blanc, these 2 Côteaux Champenois being exclusively vintage wines.
The estate's 14-hectare vineyards are located on the Grands Crus of Bouzy, Ambonnay, Tours-sur-Marne, Verzy and Verzenay. The family vineyard, classified Premier Cru, is located in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Avenay-Val-d'Or and Trépail. Since 2015, the estate has been certified High Environmental Value.
Their status as Vignerons Indépendants means that they make their different Champagnes from A to Z. Each year, they sell 120,000 bottles in France and 22 other countries.
