MAISON DEUTZ, EXCELLENCE AT THE HEART OF AŸ SINCE 1838
Since 1838, Maison Deutz has embodied in Aÿ the excellence and discretion of a familial Champagne House, deeply rooted in the historic Champagne region.
Aÿ is an exceptional setting whose full nobility Deutz is committed to revealing. The House crafts champagnes of balance and delicacy, sourced mainly from rigorously selected Grand and Premier Cru vineyards located within a 20-kilometre radius around Aÿ. Each cuvée is born from a meticulous and precise work: a bespoke approach, respectful of the fruit, elevated by long ageing periods in cellars carved into the chalk.
Under the guidance of Caroline Latrive, Cellar Master, the House cultivates a confident creative freedom, combining rigour and boldness in order to fulfil its mission: to reveal the greatest Champagne terroirs through the creation of wines of pleasure, finely chiselled and elegant.
There is both a sense of exacting standards and a touch of impertinence in crafting wines that honour the spirit of Champagne while embracing the audacity of oenological gestures inspired by the terroirs, the vintages and creative intuition.
At Deutz, champagne is not a demonstration.
It is an emotion.
MAISON DELAS FRERES
There is no great wine that does not combine the magic of a place, the memory of time, and the talent of men.
Hermitage is sometimes said to be the oldest vineyard in France, and one of the oldest in the world. If its terraces rise toward the sky, its roots delve deep into geological time. Hermitage is also the original birthplace of Syrah, and the site of its most magnificent expressions in this Northern Rhône, which represents only a tiny share—less than 6%—of the Rhône Valley, yet produces its most coveted wines.
It is here, in the vibrant heart of the Northern Rhône Valley, that the story of Delas Frères begins, with a House founded in 1835.
The Delas and Audibert families, true visionaries, joined their destinies here to promote, year after year, exceptional parcels that showcase the specificity of Rhône terroirs and the beauty of great Syrah wines grown on granite. Since 2019, the establishment of Maison Delas in Tain, marked by its new winery, affirms its deep-rooted commitment to expressing the very best of the terroirs it has the privilege and pride to work with.
