Co-exhibitor of WINES OF PORTUGAL
Casa de Cello is a family-run business that has been dedicated to the winemaking in its estates for 4 generations. At the moment the family embraces two properties, Quinta da Vegia in the Dão region and Quinta de Sanjoanne in the Vinhos Verdes region.
As an independent winegrower, Casa de Cello only makes wines with its own grapes, controlling all stages of the process, from the vineyard to the finished bottles. We produce healthy and quality grapes to ensure the genuine expression of its terroirs and our wines certified in sustainable farming by KIWA - SATIVA.
We are present in two wine regions that are growing in notoriety, we produce a wide range of wines (whites, rose, reds, sparkling and dessert wine) our prices range from wines that have an amazing price/qualities ratio to super-premium awarded wines available on the best wine lists and Michelin Star restaurants of Portugal and of other countries we are present at.
- Quinta de Sanjoanne: Located in the heart of Entre-Douro and Minho, near Amarante, the vineyards are established in granite soils that form an amphitheatre on a hillside surrounded by mountain to the east, north and west, thus creating a terroir unique in the region. At the time 14ha of vineyards are managed, with the varieties Arinto, Alvarinho, Malvasia Fina, Loureiro, Avesso and Trajadura.
- Quinta da Vegia: Comprising 20ha of vineyards in sandy soils of granite origin, all surrounded by a small river and a creek. The vinyard was planted with a careful choice of grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro and Tinta Amarela.
