The Frentana Winery was born next to the village of Rocca San Giovanni, in the Province of Chieti, Abruzzo. It is a winemaking cooperative company which includes about 500 small winegrowers who cultivate about 1000 hectares of vineyards in the Frentana area.  Its production ranges from the classics  DOC Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo and Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo, to the native grape varieties Pecorino, Passerina, Cococciola and to international grapes such as Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. In 2020 the winery merged with the close cooperative Cantina Sangro, adding its brand and its wines to the portfolio.
