For three generations, the Drouin family has been producing Calavdos and other products derived from the cider apple and perry pear in the three AOC Calvados regions (AOC Pays d'Auge Calvados/AOC Domfrontais Calvados/AOC Calvados). In the respect of the environment and traditions, the company produces three brands (Christian Drouin, Comte Louis de Lauriston, Lelouvier) which expresses the characteristics of the three appellations. CALVADOS CHRISTIAN DROUIN (AOC Pays d'Auge Calvados) A family-run distillery nestled in the heart of a traditional high-stem orchard, Maison Drouin specialises in world-class Calvados vintages and blends. Christian Drouin is a family-run business producing top-of-the-range Calvados, cider and Pommeau de Normandie (www.calvados-drouin.com). We export our production to more than 50 countries (10% of the total calvados export market share), mainly to the best hotels, restaurants, cocktail bars and wine and spirits shops. With over thirty vintages from 1939 to 2002, we have won over 240 gold medals in spirits competitions, we were awarded Best European Spirits Producer in 2013 at the IWSC in London, Best Calvados in the World in 2017, 2020 and 2021 at the World Drinks Awards. We also produce a range of premium gin (www.le-gin-drouin.com) made from over 30 different varieties of cider apples or more recently from perry pears (also a frequent award winner). We have had a rapid development in recent years thanks to the cocktail bars among which Christian Drouin is certainly recognised as the reference. CALVADOS COMTE LOUIS DE LAURISTON (AOC Domfrontais Calvados) Created to put an end to the fraudulent production of Calvados in the Domfrontais region, the Comte Louis de Lauriston Calvados cellar now offers the forgotten treasures of these clandestine distillations, a unique range of vintages dating back several decades and exported to over 20 countries. We also produce excellent perry, cider, pommeau and Calvados d'assemblage characterised by their high perry content. For some years now, we have also been offering a 100% pear Calvados, which is very popular with gourmets. CALVADOS LELOUVIER (AOC Calvados) Calvados trading and maturing company created in 1933 by André Lelouvier. Its creator, André Lelouvier, was a key figure in the quality of these calvados. His obsession was to get his hands on the best eaux-de-vie to raise, improve and transform them. In 2016, after the death of his son André Lelouvier, the company's activities were taken over by Christian Drouin S.A., who now continues the tradition of the secrets of good ageing, the choice of barrels and the blending. The quest for excellence remains in the DNA of the company in order to raise young eaux-de-vie to the rank of exceptional calvados and to share this know-how in 12 countries.
