Co-exhibitor of UNIVERSAL MARKETING
Cantina Barberani is a family-owned winery based in Orvieto, Umbria, one of Italy’s most historic yet underexplored fine-wine territories.
Founded in the 1960s and now led by the second generation, Barberani has built its identity around a clear vision: producing distinctive, terroir-driven wines that express Orvieto beyond clichés, combining precision, longevity, and strong territorial character.
The estate is internationally recognized for its pioneering work with Botrytis Cinerea (Noble Rot) in Central Italy — an extremely rare expression outside classic regions — vinified in both dry and sweet styles. This expertise has become a defining signature of the winery and a key element of its differentiation on global markets.
Barberani’s vineyards are located on volcanic and clay-limestone soils overlooking Lake Corbara, benefiting from strong diurnal shifts and natural ventilation that favor balance, aromatic complexity, and age-worthiness. All vineyards are EU Organic certified, with a sustainable approach focused on long-term soil health and vineyard integrity.
The portfolio spans:
Commercially, Barberani works exclusively with premium HoReCa and specialist retail, avoiding volume-driven distribution. The range is structured to perform across multiple price segments, from high-rotation entries to limited-production, iconic wines, always supported by strong storytelling and commercial consistency.
Today, Barberani exports to key international markets and partners with distributors who share the same focus on authenticity, differentiation, and long-term brand building.
