AVINCIS is a family story intertwined with the passion for wine.
One century ago, in 1927, Maria and Iancu Râmniceanu acquired a Neo-Brancovenesc manor surrounded by old vineyards on the Dobrușa hills. Eighty years later, their great-granddaughter Cristiana Stoica, together with her mother Emilia, her husband Valeriu and their daughter Andreea, initiated the restoration of the family property, based on a visionary architectural concept, where tradition meets the state of the art in winemaking.
The Vila Dobrușa estate - AVINCIS winery, embraced by 50 hectares of vineyards and generous forests, opened its gates to wine lovers in the summer of 2011.
Nestled between the Southern Carpathians and the Danube plain, the Dobrușa hills have been home to grapevines for thousands of years.
Here lies the secret of AVINCIS: a land blessed by God, with outstanding sun exposure, clayey-calcareous soil, the breath of the Olt River from nearby and the millenary experience of the local growers.
Alutus, a very exclusive locally developed cross, and domestic varieties like Crâmpoșia Selecționată, Negru de Drăgășani, Tămâioasă Românească and Fetească Regală, are for sure the gems of AVINCIS, together with selected international varieties, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
In the heart of a UNESCO heritage region, among historical monasteries and kulas, AVINCIS offers a unique experience of enotourism at the Vila Dobrușa estate. The visitors will enjoy cozy accommodations, full course meals, wine tastings, guided tours of the winery and walks through the vineyards, as well as a tennis court and a luxurious swimming pool to relax in the hot summer days.
