Antigua Bodega  is a family-owned winery founded in 1928, located in La Paz, Canelones, the heart of Uruguay’s wine country. For nearly a century, the Stagnari family has been crafting wines that express the soul of Uruguay — wines born from tradition, innovation, and deep respect for the land.

Our vineyards grow on ancient pink granite soils more than 500 million years old, giving our wines a unique mineral character and freshness. We combine hand harvesting, sustainable viticulture, and careful vinification in concrete, stainless steel, and oak barrels to achieve balance and elegance in every label.

We are proud to be Uruguay’s benchmark for Tannat, the country’s flagship grape. Our Tannats are powerful yet refined — perfect expressions of our terroir, culture, and gastronomy.

Today, Antigua Bodega Stagnari wines are enjoyed in over 20 international markets, from Europe and North America to Asia and Latin America.
