Founded in 1950 by Adrien Vacher, the Winery of the same name is a family business passed down from generation to generation. With the arrival of the fourth generation, it is always the same work for quality development and promotion of the wines of Savoie. Established since its creation in the town of Les Marches, the first wine village of Savoy, The Maison Adrien Vacher produce average 3 millions bottles annualy. Henri Gayet has developed the Maison Vacher for more than 40 years with the sale of Savoy wines in bottles and no longer in barrels. At the same time, he has largely contributed to the accession in 1973 of the wines in Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée, a guarantee of quality for the production of Savoy wines. Charles-Henri GAYET joined the company in 1979 and took over from his father in 1989 with the aim of further developing production upstream. He set up solid partnerships with a hundred of winegrowers in Savoie for over 30 years for the purchase of grapes, must and finished wine. The objective is to control the entire process: pressing, juice selection, vinification, bottling and distribution. In parallel with this work of permanent optimization of the process and the quality of the Wines of Savoy, Charles Henri Gayet takes over the exploitation of the Domaine du Château de la Violette in 2000 and the Domaine Charles Gonnet in 2018 to to work independently about fifty hectares on these vineyards. The will to promote and develop the wines of Savoie remains the priority with a consolidation of the clientele in place for all these generations and the development of new markets in the region, in France and internationally. For generations, Adrien Vacher has been offering traditional wines while distinguishing itself year after year with more modern ranges. The priority is to always bring the same care to the selection of juices to preserve a homogeneous quality and a signature of the wines on the freshness, the fruit and the minerality of the Savoyard soil. With 2.5 million bottles produced in the bottling center in Les Marches, the Maison Adrien Vacher is one of the leaders in the Savoy wine market for almost all the existing denominations.
