Co-exhibitor of WINES OF PORTUGAL
Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira’sroots are intertwined with the history of the region and Vasco da Gama – First Count of Vidigueira, to whom Dom Jaime, Duke of Braganza, granted the town in 1519.
Founded in 1960, succeeding the efforts and dreams of many winegrowers of Vidigueira, Cuba and Alvitoregion, ACVCA converted itself into a modern winery nowadays. The approximate production is 8 million bottles of wine per year and 10 million kilos of grapes per harvest, resulting from the exploration of around 1,500 hectares of vineyards (250 members).
Never forgetting its origins, it looks into the future supported by the people and the quality of the sub-region’s terroir.
