The story of Château Sainte Marguerite began in 1977 when Brigitte and Jean-Pierre Fayard bought a Côtes-de-Provence*** cru classé property in La Londe terroir. Self-taught and determined, they recognised the potential of Provence’s wines and contributed to their reputation by demonstrating uncompromising rigour in producing wines defined by their elegance and finesse. Awarded Ecocert certification in 2003, the estate guarantees 100% organic production and is registered with the Vegan Society. Planted according to the type of soil and the orientation of the plots, the selected grape varieties - Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle - give Château Sainte Marguerite its elegant unique style embodying Provence’s terroir expression.
This identity is shaped by a meticulous plot-by-plot approach in the blending process, where each plot is vinified separately to preserve its unique character. The vines, owned and carefully managed by Château Sainte Marguerite, benefit from massal selection to ensure genetic diversity and optimal adaptation to the terroir. This commitment to authenticity and precision highlights the exceptional quality of the estate’s vineyards and their deep connection to the terroir.
