LES VINS DE PROVENCE THE GRAND VINEYARD OF ROSÉ WINES Vins de Provence, the oldest vineyard in France, brings together three Appellations d’Origine Protégée (AOP) spanning close to 200 km, between the Mediterranean and the Alps, across the Bouches-du-Rhône and Var departments and one village in the Alpes-Maritimes: Côtes de Provence AOP, Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence AOP and Coteaux Varois en Provence AOP. These are united under the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins de Provence (CIVP), and represent 494 private wine producers, 63 cooperative producers as well as 90 wine traders. Rosé wine is a historic specialty of this wine growing region and represents 90% of wine production. It is intimately linked to Provence’s identity, sharing the same values of authenticity, sensoriality and audacity. Today, 38% of French AOP Rosés wines and 4.2% of global rosé wines hail from Provence and there are renowned for their signature style - pale pink, dry and aromatic.
A history spanning nearly 100 years...
With a heritage of almost 100 years, our winery was founded in 1921, in the aftermath of the First World War, by a group of men and women deeply attached to their land, their country, and their vineyards.
A winery in constant evolution...
Since then, the people have changed, and their children and grandchildren have taken over, always driven by a desire to do things well.
Over time, countless innovations have taken place in our cellar. The Cave des Vignerons Londais is one of those magical places where the mysterious transformation of grapes into wine takes place.
Winemaking
Every step in the transformation of grapes into wine is the product of a harmonious blend of traditions, oenological techniques, and modern winemaking tools. This balance, expertly maintained by our Cellar Master, is implemented with passion to respect the integrity of the grapes. Loving attention to the grape juice completes the quest for perfection in this alchemy. For all these efforts are aimed at a single goal: maintaining and constantly improving the quality of our wines.
A know-how inherited from a long evolution...
The wines of Provence are blends of grape varieties. This practice allows us to produce balanced wines, showcasing the qualities of each grape variety. Only white wines are an exception to this rule.
Our production is divided into three collections:
Domaines & Châteaux: Grapes from seven estates, vinified separately, allow us to offer this collection where the owners' expertise and the geographical location provide a range of premium tasting experiences. Château Pansard (de Canson family), Domaine San Peïre (Muriel Calmes), Domaine du Mirage (Richard Salice), Domaine Simonnot (Michael Simonnot), Château Adelys (Alain Chalmeton), and Domaine de Favanquet comprise this selection.
Winegrowers' Cuvées: These wines are made from carefully selected parcels belonging to our cooperative members. They are representative of highly expressive terroirs such as Borrels and Notre Dame. This collection also includes the historic Londel cuvée, which was the first wine bottled by our winery. Finally, to crown this range, the Amplitude cuvée expresses the quintessence of the best plots in the La Londe terroir.
Limited Editions: Exceptional vintages, celebratory wines, a nod to the terroir...so many reasons to indulge your imagination.
This is a familial story. 5 generations have succeeded each other in the Peirecèdes Vineyard. In 1991, Alain Baccino and his wife Véronique build the cellar leaning against the PEIRECÈDES bastidon. Audrey and Leslie work with their parents in the family business. Audrey (OEnologist) vinifies the wines with much refinement and precision. Leslie is at the head of the administrative pole with Véronique who is in charge of all the labels of the society.
