Co-exhibitor of WINES OF PORTUGAL
It is on the Alentejo Coast, at the confluence of two large Portuguese wine regions, Setúbal and Alentejo, that we find Herdade Canal Caveira. Esplanade at the foot of the Serra de Grândola, the estate receives the maritime influence of the Alentejo Coast, land with a unique and original microclimate. It has an area of 45 hectares, of which 25 are vineyards and the remainder olive trees, orange trees, cork oaks, holm oaks, strawberry trees and pines. On the edge of the IC1 national road, before the stop for the famous Cozido à Portuguesa, stands the emblematic castle-shaped house, greeting those traveling towards the Algarve. The vines, stretching out in the sun, break between the riverbank and the roadside. The winery brings us the proof. In a virtuous reality, the view from the top floor is widely divided between the village, the mountains and the plain, while the clinking of glasses stirs the sense of smell and the taste of the nectars produced here. With mostly sandy soils, wide temperature range and Atlantic influence, Herdade Canal Caveira produces elegant, complex and persistent wines. A perfect terroir for quality wines and demanding wine lovers. This is the reality we invite you to discover.
